High-quality version of ''Le Voyage dans la lune'' from the DVD ''Georges Méliès: First Wizard of Cinema''. It includes the celebration scene which many versions seem to omit.
Try using the new video player; the standard one doesn't seem to work.

MP4 downloads
You might want to try using the YouTube downloader...it's FREE and works rather well with MP4s and other file types...and will convert to .mov and .wmv files as needed...and it won't take over your machine...give it a go!

Online streaming
Great classic!
If anyone is interested, it's been also uploaded for online viewing, if some of you want to watch without downloading (beeing at work would be reason enough to do so).
If you can live with the surrounding adverts, you should be ok

A must see landmark film
The first science fiction film? Yes, almost certainly. However, so many movies made before 1925 have been irretrievably lost along with the records of their production, it is impossible to say with absolute certainty. What can be said with conviction is for the first decade of commercial movie production Paris was king - not New York or Hollywood.
Although it obviously owes something to Jules Verne, "Le Voyage dans la Lune" is science fiction as absurdist comedy. But is it any more absurd than Captain Kirk finding a willing blonde on every alien planet he visits?
Thanks to the uploader for what is the best copy of the most complete print at IA. I've waited a long time for this one.

I WAS WRONG! BIG TIME!!
This is an excellent quality file, BUT I was unable to find any conversion program that wasn't a spam fraud spyware that attempted to take over my computer! If anyone knows of a program, please list it. This is an excellent file but BEWARE if you attempt to convert it.
